Some additional pics

I've been meaning to post these pics so here they are.
We pulled into a rest area to look at the map and get
sorted and saw this sign - OH! that's where we are!
This is a mail delivery person in "uniform" for a wet day and
riding an official mail delivery vehicle!
The black pile in the foreground consists of hundreds
of juvenile Ibis
We had breakfast at an Ibis Rookery outside of Karang one morning and from the blind we were able to watch thousands of Ibis as they fed and trained their new ones. It is the largest rookery of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
Pretty neat to watch these beautiful birds

  1. Hope the rain slows down and the temps stay below 100F. Trox how is the biking there? No snow in NM yet but skiing is decent in southern Colorado. Love the pics and all the details about the parks. Will stay tuned, Jean
